On 25th June, 2022, Dr. K. S. Lakshmi, Secretary, Meenakshi College for Women, was conferred the Sri Bharathi Theertha Puraskar by Jagadguru Sri Vidhushekhara Bharathi Swamigal of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, in recognition of her immense service to the Sringeri Matha. The award function was held in Bengaluru.
This year, to mark the completion of the 72nd Vardhanti of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamigal, the Shankaracharya of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, 72 persons were awarded the Puraskar in recognition of their unstinted service to the Sringeri Matha in various fields and capacities.
