Governance

The college was started in 1975 and is affiliated to the University of Madras. It is run by the Ganapathi Educational Trust and is a non-minority aided college governed by the Tamil Nadu Private Colleges (Regulation) Act, 1976 and the rules made thereunder. The college, after obtaining autonomy in 1999 is also governed by the UGC guidelines for autonomous colleges.
