About
The Department of Tamil was started in 1975 to teach Foundation course language Tamil for I and II year students of all departments. M.A Tamil was started in 1983, with a sanctioned strength of 20 students. In 1988 Full time/ Part time M.Phil Tamil was started. Part time Ph.D was started in the year 1982 and offered for several years.
