Cash prize won by our M.Phil students for the best research proposals. Department of Economics in collaboration with Malcolm & Elizabeth Adiseshiah (MEA) Trust Chennai organized a 2-day Workshop on “Research Methodology for M.Phil Scholars” during 18th and 19th October, 2013. At the end of the progamme the participants of the workshop were asked to send the brief proposal of their research projects for their M.Phil. degrees to MEA Trust. MEA announced cash prize of Rs.20000 for best 10 proposals. We are proud that two of our 1st Batch of M.Phil. students R. Geethasaranya and D. Rajeswari won the cash prize of Rs. 20000 each. R. Geethasaranya submitted the proposal on the “A study of Factors affecting Health Insurance in organized sector in Chennai city” D. Rajeswari submitted the proposal on “Determinants of Child Labour in Chennai”. The workshop benefited the research students on various aspects of research projects from literature review to data analysis and preparation of report. Alumni Meet 2014 |
