Introduction
The department of
Natural Science was started in the year 1976 with 3 faculty members and 100 students
belonging to Pre-University course. The department B.Sc Zoology was introduced in
1999 and was headed by Mrs. Jeejibai Subramaniam. Since then 21 batches of students
belonging to Zoology Main have passed out. Autonomous status was conferred in the
year 1999; under this stream 5 batches have passed out, all the students well placed
in various walks of life. The course B.Sc Zoology, renamed as Advanced Zoology and
Biotechnology by the
University of Madraswas adopted in the year 2004
